Everything happened so fast, but then again , sometimes shit hit the fan out of the blue. She was supposed to take the lie detector with her to interrogate someone about the mole in Hammer. Things turned sour rather quick as the other person caught on. He went for Verity who was closer and unarmed. The assassin wasn't sure if she slashed or not by the knife the other was holding, but she had just time to push Verity out of harm's way before getting into a fight with the guy and his knife. It didn't take her long before she got her knife into his side and he fell limb on her. What a work out. Out of breath, she pushed him off of him. "You okay?"

       Making a pact with a demon was the last thing Bethany wanted to do, and yet all of a sudden, here this one was, calling her master and everything, even after she’d explained that there was no need for it. Oh God was she going to get it from the Circle if she even made it back to Kirkwall. Perhaps it was best she stayed here, after all, it wasn’t the fade, nor was it the gallows, so it would be in her best interests to be away from any templars that would likely render her tranquil at the first sign of possession.

Oh, was sitting here getting in his way? Jumping up, she flashed an apologetic glance towards him, all with the giggle of her demon in the background. Maker, damn it, when would she be more helpful!
