“Fair point, fair point. But Grunkle Stan, what are you doing up so late?”

Dipper points an accusatory finger at the old man. What? Is it a crime now to wander downstairs into the kitchen to get a drink of water? Dipper’s not twelve anymore, he’s an (newly turned) adult!

To prove it, he takes a sip of his water – and misses his mouth completely. Now there’s water on the floor. Dipper stares at the watery mess with his exhausted eyes. If he were more awake he’d be embarrassed, but right now his thought process is extremely slow.

“I’ll clean that up…eventually”

— —★ Stan raised an eyebrow at the kids question.

“Kid, I’m nearly half a century o l d e r than you; I think I can be up as late as I want.” he replied. He watched Dipper s t r u g g l e d to do something as simple as take a sip of water, “You’re not h e l p i n g your point, squirt.” he said with a laugh. 

He shook his head and grabbed a r a g, throwing it on the ground and using his foot to mop up the mess, “Please, if you can’t even d r i n k properly, how you will be able to c l e a n it up?”
