HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YA’LL
This is not related to anything I just super need to vent about work drama.
So I work as a marketing content writer, and the agency I work for is building a website for a client that’s local to us. 2-3 weeks ago, my boss tried to volunteer me to GO INTO THE CLIENT’S OFFICE DURING QUARANTINE and do an in-person interview to get info about what we need to write for their website. I politely said no because of social distancing, and suggested a phone meeting because there was no reason we couldn’t do it that way instead.
But instead of setting up a phone meeting, my boss had me write a list of questions to send to them, which was fine with me. I was told they’d get back to me with the answers. But instead of writing them out, they all got together (why??? idk) and had a meeting where they discussed the questions and recorded a video/audio to send us. Fine whatever.
So I get the video today, and I go to listen to it. Not TEN SECONDS in and the main guy starts TRASHING ME for not doing the interview in person in the rudest tone. “Well, I saw we discuss like normal and pretend the camera’s not there, they just have to join OUR meeting... SHE was supposed to be here to interview us and she could have taken her notes and been on her way, but SHE didn’t want to come sooo.”
WHAT THE FUCK DUDE. I’m so pissed, this is so unprofessional. HE KNEW I WOULD HEAR THIS.
