How much has Venti slept?
Just how long has Venti slept over the past 2500~ years? In the Manga we see him waking up, and enough time has passed that the politics of Mondstadt are completely different. That period was only 1000 years ago, and then the next timeline we have is 500 years later, when he wakes up AGAIN. Was he really asleep, and how long was he?Â
Only after the cataclysm do we seem to have confirmation on WHY he would sleep--to recover from his actions 500 years ago. And he slept another 500 years after that. It seems he’s barely been awake at all since Venessa’s time.Â
In the time before 1000 years ago, we know he visited other archons a lot. Did he need to sleep during that time period at all? Did his sleeping state change over time so that he can barely stay awake now?Â
Why is he sleeping in the first place? Are we going to find out more about this? Like, does he actually NEED to sleep? Is he truly that weak? What caused him to go back to sleep after Venessa, before the cataclysm?Â
Venti’s proclivity to sleep centuries away... It’s deeply fascinating to me. We don’t seem to have any information on other archons having to do it, either. So why is Venti weird?Â
The worst part is, if he HAS slept most of that time away, and not been truly awake to process passing time, then he’s probably still grieving all those times when he was awake. That’s very depressing.Â
