four headcanons meme  !

i. they took the final selection together, where they met and agreed to stick with each other... fuyumi on her own struggled to defeat any demons, but her ‘breath of ice’ that she learned from her mother was great for slowing demons down and making them much less dangerous for rengoku to kill, at the time. they’ve been friends ever since. he really admires how unbreakable her spirit seems to be. the boundless optimism and hope - it’s probably what drew him to her from the start.

ii. rengoku keeps her company in the butterfly house a lot, after her retirement. he tries to keep her in good spirits, but he really hates to see her getting sicker and sicker. there was a period of time she was doing much better, and i really like to think about how there was one time she met him at the door or he saw her flitting about helping the girls and he was so excited that she was doing alright !!

iii. i’m just saying.... ! fuyumi cooking for him. let it be her who made his little lunch from the train arc (unless it’s stated some1 else did..... idr). as sad as it is 2 think that was also his last meal...... BUT THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT.
