Kerala 😍 "I would like to fish more, but my children won't let me," said Suresh, a man whose two sons are successful in Dubai, and whose local son runs businesses co-owned with the brothers abroad. "Things are changing, they're changing so fast," he lamented, as he told me his sons will be the first generation in his family who do not fish for a living in the past thousand plus years. "We didn't even know about the Gulf when I was growing up," added Suresh, as we talked about the money coming into Kerala from these rich Gulf countries, some of which Keralites make up 80% of the Indian residents, a community that sends money that equals to nearly 2 times of all the receipts of Kerala.
