chat about themes in character arcs

[2013-09-03 02:06:00] <Sanzh> mmm [2013-09-03 02:06:13] <Solaris> like how they see themselves, how they see the world, how they see their situation, i feel like with my characters this comes up Quite a Bit? [2013-09-03 02:07:27] <Solaris> there's chad's entire fucked up world view, there's velobo's harmfully innocent worldview, there's triumphian's beleifs that he's Set On, [2013-09-03 02:08:35] <Sanzh> yeah I can see how that would fit [2013-09-03 02:09:33] <Solaris> i guess that counts but it isnt something that i did on purpose even if both overheat and flo are both incidentally, also going to deal with that sort of thing what with overheat having the Distinct Difference of its cyborg warrior persona and Ash underneath [2013-09-03 02:10:19] <Solaris> and with flo hating science and going to be ironly stubborn to what she thinks is Correct [2013-09-03 02:12:14] <Solaris> and so far that is sort of what conjoin has been all about what with the protagonist entering this new world and struggling with the idea that these new strangers are telling the truth about everything [2013-09-03 02:12:49] <Sanzh> mm [2013-09-03 02:13:12] <Sanzh> I just think it's interesting how everyone has a sort of different thing they examine, I think [2013-09-03 02:13:26] <Solaris> so i guess common themes in things i write is like, the true nature of things? and how there are different truths for different people? [2013-09-03 02:14:13] <Sanzh> yeah, that seems like the best way to explain it [2013-09-03 02:14:15] <Solaris> i think that statement honestly could encompass literally everything i have written in recent times [2013-09-03 02:14:22] <Solaris> slash plan to write [2013-09-03 02:14:55] <Solaris> AND THE BEST PART IS THAT MIND CONTROL SMUT COUNTS AS FALLING UNDER THAT THEME
