A Different Circle for Veil Work with Mahin

3 Reasons Why Veil Work Is An Important Spiritual Practice
Hello Brave One,
A question that I frequently get asked is: Why is it important to be of service to our loved ones who have died?
It is always important to know the why behind what we do. Especially when it comes to your spiritual practice. In this video, learn three reasons why it is important to include Veil Work, serving loved ones who have died, in your spiritual practice.
Be brave. Even though there is a common belief that when our loved one dies they do their thing in the spiritual world and we do our thing in the physical world, now is the time in our spiritual evolution to lift the veil, include Veil Work in our spiritual practices, so that we may cultivate conscious, creative, living relationships with loved ones who have died.
After you watch the video, share in the comment section below why you think it is important to include Veil Work in your spiritual practice.
Thank you so much for watching. If you liked this video, then please give it a ‘like’ and share it with a friend.

Veil Preferences..?
Which type of veil do you prefer? Semi-circular or rectangular..? Oh! Plus, what size, and why..? ^_^ *query query*

My veil still smells like that egyptian hookah lounge.
Monday Night Dance Class Roundup, May 16, 2011
Progress, my friends! Progress! :D
Ballet, level 7: It's been an interesting couple of weeks working on the recital routine. Leica hadn't been working from choreography notes, but putting together the choreography with us there in class. She works so well on the fly! I'm jealous of Leica's ability to choreograph on the spot like that. Yesterday, we finished up our choreography. For the ending, we do a polka with hand turning. I get to partner with Lucy who is pretty fierce and an advanced dancer. Thanks in part to Lucy being so fierce and smart and generally cool, we picked it up pretty quick- the other pair had a little more trouble with it but they're also very smart and fierce and will sort it out before recital time, no sweat. I think I say this every week but these girls really dance hard and it wrecks me a little bit every Monday night, even though it is getting a little easier and I'm generally improving every week. At the barre I can get away with not working as hard as they can- in some ways I just can't yet, I have never had trouble with cramps in my legs and feet like I have since I returned to ballet, I'm just not strong enough yet!- if we do an exercise at the barre, then again, but en releve, I don't always do it in releve. But for the recital dance, I really have to just give'er as hard as I can.
Intermediate Belly Dance: Class was a little fuller this week, so we were better able to work on some of that formation work that we've been neglecting a little bit. It's really coming together, and I'm enjoying the veil work. Terri had a semi-circular veil that one of her students at a different studio makes, and I'll admit, I was a little jealous- I generally enjoy making things and sewing, but don't enjoy hemming enough to make my own. I am tempted to get some nice silk and paying this gal to make me a semi-circular veil, though :) I have to confess- I'm not crazy about doing veil work. I like watching it, I like the concept of it, but I can never keep my veil in my hands. If we're holding it with two hands and flapping it around like wings, I've only got it in one hand, flapping it around like one wing. If we do a tuck, mine doesn't stay tucked. If we're doing a matador, I'm stepping on it. I just can't seem to nail veil work. Maybe picking up Poi will help me with props generally. Anyhow, we picked a time and date to do an extra practice before the recital at the other studio- we have 2 weeks of class *after* the end of year show we're participating in, crazy! It's because the rec centre is closed on Mondays, so Monday night class runs for a few extra weeks to "make up" the ones we miss. Terri said since we're more advanced dancers than her other intermediate class, we're picking up the routine very quickly and she's pleased with our progress. I think we can really get this under our thumbs and tame the wild veils in time for the show.
SOME OTHER STUFF: Hey, so it's rained a lot here in Halifax. I mean, A LOT. We've had so many more yucky, rainy days, I can't even tell you. I tried to start cycling for my commute I think for the first of April, but it just hasn't been fine enough for it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sugar and I won't melt, but a stretch of my commute is on what's arguably a highway and it feels really unsafe and scarey to cycle it when it's wet (I get a lot of dirty road water from potholes on the far righthand side of the road right in the eyes and can't see, plus, nobody out there on the road is patient with slow, blinded cyclists). I've also been trying to run, but I don't have a sportswatch, so I've been doing my intervals on my new phone and I'm terrified to ruin it before I've even got the second bill for it, so again, haven't been running much. Today was just beautiful, so this morning when I got up, I went for a run (I was up and on the road for 6!) in the mist (not too wet) then this afternoon was arguably sunny, so I cycled my bike home from work, where it's been waiting for a nice day for me to cycle it home. It was so nice I think I can even pack away the not-warm-weather cycling clothes and start fairly regularly cycling. AND! this weekend, I'm going to run the 5K Blue Nose Marathon race. Awesome! Hope the weather's fine like it was today- the only other time I've run any of the Blue Nose Events (the 5K not last year, but the year before that) it was dreary, but not raining. Anyhow, I'm pumped to be running and cycling again- cycling is easier when I'm running, and belly dance is easier when I'm doing all this stuff. I was distracted by the reflection of my own six-pack in the mirror Monday night in belly dance :)
