     ~*;; Nino had been surprised when Adrien said he was allowed over for the movie night, considering they had been trying for this for weeks now. Probably nearing two months - but Nino wasn’t keeping count, no sirree. Pff, who ever gave you that crazy idea? Not the boy who had ran around his home for a solid two hours stealing any free blankets and pillows he could from the apartment just so he could build a frikkin’ pillow nest for him and his best friend. This was Adrien’s first movie night! Nino wanted it to be perfect! 

     And it was. Even as Nino felt the slight weight of Adrien’s head on his shoulder. Honey colored eyes glanced down, his expression softening as he saw his best bro passed out. “Poor dude..” Was all Nino could mutter, too afraid to wake him. He shifted carefully, moving so Adrien was leaning back against the couch as he grabbed a pillow for behind his head, and a blanket, which Nino easily wrapped the blond up in. “There..” He gave a gentle ruffle of his hair before he sat back down.

Adrien just stands there awkwardly and nervously

“He’s late…”

The spotted hero stood on the rooftop near the Fountain Park at the twilight, her eyes peeled for the black suited partner. Below her, there were those gathering, having leisurely walks with their significant others, chatting away with their friends, and others that were preparing themselves to head home before the night fell on the city. It was one of these patrons that spied the girl, and began to cry out for her to come down.

Cheeks coated in blush at the crowd swelling, she descended to perch on the top of the broken fountain, balancing on the pad of her foot for a moment. “Thanks everyone, but you should start heading home.” She announced, waving to them a little, ensuring she kept herself poised. “I’ll make sure the city is safe tonight!” A cheer, and Ladybug chuckled, slinging out her yo-yo, and she lifted from her spot, dashing back off to the rooftops.

The crowd dispersed, and small mumbles could be heard between people: “Where was Chat Noir?” “Who cares?” “All he does is break stuff anyway.” “Ladybug is the one who can save us from the Akuma! Isn’t he just a sidekick?”

None of it true, but the words were surging through the people as they chattered, parting ways from the park. Had Ladybug been present for it, it would have been dismissed with anger, of how could they believe such things of her partner? But she wasn’t. Instead, the girl had dropped down between the alleyways a ways away, slipping out of her suit with a simple phrase.

When Marinette got into the mood to sketch it took a lot to snap her out of her zone. Unless it was Tikki screaming in her ear or her parents calling her name several times, the chances of her paying attention to anyone else was slim. So she didn’t even notice that her partner was getting grumpy at the lack of attention she was giving him. She gently had her tongue barely out as she rotated the sketchbook vigorously. One minute it was right side up the next moment it was sideways and the moment after that it was flipped the other way.

She quietly hummed the song that Jagged Stone wrote for Ladybug as she worked determined to make this look good. She’s been working on this piece for a few days taking all of her free time to work on it. It was finally getting close to completion and she could taste the end right there. All that was left was cleaning up a few lines here and there and getting rid of some smudge marks from her hand. A victorious cry came from the young designer as she waved her drawing hand in relief. Poking her head from behind her sketchbook she smiled at Chat Noir.

“I finished something for you!”

Readjusting her position she handed the feline hero her sketchbook revealing what she was working on so vigorously. It was a detailed sketch of him looking over Paris from the roof. She just hoped that he would like the picture, in her opinion, it was some of her best work yet. She got every detail of his costume as close to real as she could possibly be.

“I hope you like it.”
