Jordan Vaughn, Finance Director of the American Association of Lutheran Churches or the African-American Leadership Council, banters with frenemy Jordan Kaplan, of Chicago. They are fascinated by Alex Hoffman, Deputy Chief of Staff for Finance. Vaughn sends Kaplan an image, accompanied by the hashtag #getcholifealexhoffman. Kaplan responds with an enthused, “Yes!” Hoffman is attractive. “Is she married?” one asks the other. “She's going to accost him tonight.” Vaughn says of Alex and a man, presumably, in the photo. “This is hands down one of the best nights of my career.”
“Tell him not to be a baby and go with it. Bookend our day with an engagement and Hoffman.” Kaplan chides. “Beautiful.” Alex has been copied in all the while. She joins to mock herself with hashtags in concert with the others. “#NoRegrets #LittleRock2016″
Vaughn itemizes the state of affairs for Kaplan and Alex:
“Last update before we allow this to progress organically.
- She just tried to kiss Ron in the lobby.
- She has 3 boys.
- She put her number in Alex's phone.”
