Aside from her reunion with Emmy, Ximena was mostly excited about meeting a few familiar people that hung around town; her boss Nazli was the first one, followed by her dear childhood friend whom she hasn’t seen in a while. The woman mentioned her son is back in town, so Ximena was quick to reach out to her pseudo-nephew who gladly invited her over. She figured they have a lot to catch up on, so she mentally braced herself for some emotionally draining conversations, but honestly- that seemed to be the recurring theme of this trip. Knocking on the door, she smiled at Markus when he opened up. “Ey, chiquito!” She greeted, coming in for a hug. Gosh, he was so much taller than her now. “¿Qué tal?” She wondered as she entered the apartment. “Tell me, when did you get so old?”
