Aesin had listened to the guy at the front of the police station. She had listened to him intently and she knew it was just a routine thing that everyone who had anything to do with the Go Jeon thing had to go through. And still she felt incredibly icky about it. She wasn’t sure how much the police had on her. Not that there was anything incriminating.
Tapping her foot against the floor, she let her hands run over the table, feeling the wooden surface underneath her fingertips as she anxiously waited for whoever to appear. She knew her connection to Ara wasn’t the best thing she had going on for her in this specific case and she was afraid of the harsh words and judging eyes.
But as soon as the door to the small interrogation room opened, Aesin had to hold her breath – this woman looked young... and pretty. This was probably not going to go her way. “I’m Lee Aesin”, she blurted out. She probably didn’t have to, though. Damn.
