Bought my first dining room table and out it together today. I’m in love. The details are simply stunning as well. I have more chairs coming and I’ll be staining / sealing it tomorrow.

7 days well spent on my favorite coast.

I’m coming back to a pile a work with school but it was very nice to neglect it for a few days. This trip has been packed full. I’ve felt on edge all day coming back…7+ hours traveling was a bit much today. There was a bathroom flooded with feces which was too close to the men’s bathrooms the lady ahead of me warned me that the kiddo could see the men using urinals because of the placement.

The nasty bathrooms everywhere else we went in the middle of nowhere did not help. Came home, the AC is busted and my dog acted a fool with the sitter. My workout helped mitigate the frustrations of the day. I’m looking forward to fall when our afternoon temps aren’t 95+ degrees.

I love taking these longer walks with the kiddo but there are plenty of times lately where I want to go so much further but she’s just not with it quite yet. Once she gets sweaty or hot she’s over it. Fingers crossed it’s just because she’s building her endurance. I try to play some music she likes and make sure she has her water, let her take breathers every so often.

Tonight, I’ve already done the bedtime routine and I would honestly love to just go for a nighttime walk. We get to the end of our walks and I feel like a dog just itching for more. A few miles with some earbuds.
