god, the game feels like such a mad scramble of desperately trying to even the odds and gain ground against the emperor and a lot the times things just go wrong or they end up barely scraping a victory AND THAT’S SO TASTY TO ME. & the whole deal with the dragoons, like yes almost all of them are gone, but there’s hope! ricard can train his friend’s son. and then you see that spark of hope die with ricard and just like that, the dragoons are gone. And even when you die your job isn’t over, you’ve got to go kill the new evil god.

14. the character/story arc I find the most compelling oh dear i havent played this specific one a long time. a lot of the events of the games tend to blur together oops i think the part of the game i enjoyed the most were the kids (and i answered 16 before this one so i might get a bit repetitive) but man. idk something about yakuza 3 especially the beginning of the game just has such a different vibe to the rest of the series. its wholesome. kiryu is happy. he has a family he loves very much. i wish they had done more of that tbh. i wish they had stuck with him prioritizing his kids over everything else (but then there wouldnt be much of a yakuza game if kiryu didnt get involved huh….)

16. a scene/moment that makes me really emotional every single time honestly any of the scenes where kiryu talks to one of his kids on the beach. like when one of them is being bullied he goes out to comfort them, or playing games with them, or his talk with haruka about going to kamurocho and why he has to go…… god. theres just so many good moments with the kids i love them very much. he tries his best to be a good dad and its <3
