bit of an explanation: vannie gets captured by king michael and is slowly being coerced into releasing her "full power" (aka the magic rainbow shenanigans), but she tries reasoning with him not to do so because she's his sister. he, reasonably, is shocked and confused and asks what she means. she then tells him that she is the biological daughter of william and ryan, and michael gets really upset.
he now believes that william has replaced him with vannie, making michael feel worthless and played by william. vannie then calms him down, saying that favoritism is just a manipulation tactic that he used to gain michael's trust and turn him away from his siblings. michael then basically guilt trips her into using her powers "for him" and to show him "who's eally in control now".
