She gave a small smile though, extending her hand to the other girl. “For girls like us, I mean,” and it widened.

“So the way I see it, girls like us really need to have eachother’s backs, no matter what!” she said, trying to encourage the other woman.

★ - -  Being on a ten hour flight is always draining, especially if you're being scolded by your manager. Nate Libretti winced as he woke to Mr. Stu Deeoh blaring in your ear. "Nate. Nate, wake up for Arceus sake! We're here!" Nate yawned as he stretched his limbs, taking a moment to pause and look out the window. Kalos. A brand new region.

He turned to Stu Deeoh and smiled brightly. "I understand! I'll be out in a moment." he chirped, signaling that he should leave. Taking the hint, the manager left, as Nate patted his Emboar on the nose. "Enbu. Enbu, wake up. Enbuuu." he singsonged lightly, as the fire pokemon opened an eye. It gave a yawn, nearly scorching the seat. Nate repressed a giggle as he walked down the aisle- his luggage was being taken by a crew hand.

Hopping off the plane, the male took a deep breath. Yep, this was going to be a great day.

Half an hour later, the young star found himself strolling down the streets of Lumiose City, drinking in the sights. People were bustling everywhere, rushing with a energy. Taking out a pokeball, he sent out his Arcanine, Ace. He came out of his pokeball with a loud growl, but stopped with a pat on the head. 

Waving to people who seemed to recognize him, Nate started to walk around the street. I wonder if there's a pool nearby, he though absentmindedly.  That'd be the best. 

After an hour of strolling, he felt his Xtransceiver ring. Hugh. He smiled, and opened it up. While the two childhood friends chatted, he wasn't aware of a mass of red and yellow fur bounding his way. He registered the shout of "Watch out!" a few seconds too late. Suddenly, he found himself thrust on the ground, in a tangle of limbs and rollerblades. "Ack!"
