In celebration to how I am going to Ottowa Comiccon next month, I made a superhero themed desktop this August! This trio are the *Justice Friends* from the skits from the old Cartoon Network hit cartoon *Dexter's Lab*. Specifically, it's a reinvention of them because while I still love cartoons skits dearly, I find that many of the jokes and caricatures have been a bit too often.
I think you can imagine how I reinvented them. Vanhallen is the leader and despite speaking and acting like a laid back rocker, he's actually very intelligent. In fact, he's an electrical engineer. My version is inspired by Thor and Storm. Krunk, or Prof. Kurt Klammer, was born as he was and was ironically, premature, small for a baby and weak, but thanks to his father's care, he survived. Krunk is gentle and shy giant, and is the pacifist. He is inspired by Hulk, the Thing and Beast. Major Glory is a high ranking soldier who got selected to become a super soldier. The serum made him super strong, but as a side effect, his hair became completely white even though he's still young. While he does have actual combat and battle experience, he is the most inexperienced as a superhero and still learning that it nothing like being a soldier. He is professional, patriotic and brave, he can also be hostile, arrogant and kind of pigheaded at times. He is inspired by Captain America, the Punisher and the Falchion as his cape is also nanotech that transforms into wings allowing him to fly.
