I am begging people to realise that the juice they get from calling conservatives and reactionaries hypocritical is always, always, always coming at the cost of reinforcing the hierarchical mindset that their values are based on.

Just like nobody wants to hear how disgusted you are of what people who Aren't You are doing in private, whenever you go "ha ha! You fail your own bigoted standards" at a reactionary, you are reinforcing that standard. You're saying you're better at obeying the bigoted standard than the bigot!!!

Straight-up, the only reason I even try to maintain a twitter presence is because it's the only way I know what's going on with some people. I can't stand it as a platform, and the way you're meant to use it to tap into some kind of flow of consciousness is utterly incompatible with how my mind works. It's like playing anxiety roulette. Nearly half the time it's stuff I find utterly meaningless, and half the time it's shit from like 10 hours ago that I DO find meaningful, but because every thought on Twitter expires as soon as it's expressed, I never get a chance to comment. When I finally put my thoughts together, the topic has already changed, and the rest of the time it's just unpleasant. It's the worst kind of hell anxiety platform that is impossible to curate to an even greater degree than this hell anxiety platform and it's actively despair-inducing that EVERYONE is moving to use it.

Like I try my best not to talk discourse on this blog or this site, but let me assure you -- in the past two years nothing has made me quite so incandescently angry as the way people have treated Jessie Gender and the way they've treated Patricia Taxxon.

People cannot help themselves for five seconds when there's a visibly, vocally autistic woman online who happens to be marginalised in a way that gives them a plausible out for their ableism, and play the victim when it's pointed out that they, actually, are the one who completely became unable to practice their cognitive empathy when a woman doesn't talk the way they expected.

And that's me giving people the benefit of the doubt that they ever fucking listened to what either one was saying.
