because they lack iron in their blood and iron is a metal- now vampires are actually weak to silver and iron and silver are not alike but I thought it could be a cool plot point.

also damn the iron deficient people are cooked cause they’re already fatigued and a little light headed (at least in my experience of being anaemic) and getting their blood taken outta them is just gonna make them flop on the spot 😔
