Perceptor has been away from home for long time (we’re talking about months here) on either a job related trip or whatever and when he comes home, Deadlock is waiting for him with Wing.
Wing has a video camera rolling and it’s about time Percy comes home.
“Oh. I think I heard a door slamming shut”, Wing says, smiling at Deadlock who’s been sitting at the window all day, tracking every single passing car for it to turn to the driveway.
The lycan scrambles down from the couch, claws scratching the wooden floor as he dashes to the door and wrenches it open to run into Percy’s arms.
The sounds he makes... Oh, dear Primus; happy barking, whimpering, growling, more whimpering. All the while squirming and wiggling in Percy’s lap as the vampire embraces (or tries to) Deadlock.
Wing sheds tears of joy as he watches the two of them.
(Just watch a few videos of dogs welcoming their owner back home on YouTube to understand what I meant with this brain fart. :’D)
