Entrust your fate to the hands of God and He will deliver you from evil,” they say. “ You only need to have faith.”
No.
Not in here.
Not in this place.
This is where fate and faith come to die.
1804. The young guard Javert finds himself tried and convicted for a crime he didn't commit - and the red string of fate tying him to Jean Valjean becomes a chain
My contribution for @valvertweek !
Beta read by the amazing @caffeinatedjimmie (she's so great, check out her beautiful fanfic as well!) and @xmamamorox .
Also many thanks to @bogusbyron and @my secret cove for your help with research and language use/ slang.
Love you guys ❤️❤️
story concept i have is perfect for @valvertweek and fits the theme and everything. literally on accident, i don’t know how that happened. event starts in two days. story is gonna be *long*. nowhere near complete, only have first two chapters, part of the end, and a convoluted outline. won’t have time to make art for it. won’t be able to have an ao3 account in time either. might need a whole other fic-centric sideblog for organization purposes, idk about posting the story here specifically. screams so fucking loud
Check out these Valvert necklaces I made
I know this doesn't really relate to the theme, but I hope I can still submit them to @valvertweek
As you can see, Valjean gets different shades of green (as he once was a tree pruner), as well as earthy tones and yellow (the color is very very pale so you can't really see it in the final product😔)
Javert gets different shades of blue, for his coat, the Seine and the sky, with bits of white for the stars :)
Once I read that Valjean was scared of the dark (idk if it was a fanfic or the actual brick lol) but yeah. Javert's nightvision. you know the drill
So heres what I did for @valvertweek (theme: darkness)
I've never done digital art, in case you couldn't tell, so I just tried a few things. Idk if I'm super happy with this, but it sure took a lot longer than I expected :D
