I wish others understood: values, principles, morals and ethics more. I opened up a brand new world to them, and if I ask what their values are, it's like they have no clue what I am speaking of.
Core values are like Authenticity. The courage and bravery it takes to keep being the person everyone knew and knows. It's actually a commitment. My life story, my opinions. My likes. My dislikes. Not following. Making my own way. It will cost you friends, companions, love. And you would ask...why would you want that?Core values are like being Family-Oriented. It's a commitment. Each will carry a set of good and bad consequences. But, basically , it means to keep showing up where it counts. Through all the ups , downs, joys and hurts , correction of mistakes, consistency and more if you really think on it. Sometimes it means , being left shaken.Core values are like Creativity. You dedicate a life to a craft. Without it, life would be black and white, where you have the paintbrush, canvas, and plenty of colors to choose from. Where you have a favorite song, or you make one. It's a commitment. Journaling just the same. Poetry was there for you when no one else was. To play a piano or guitar, provided music that soothed you.Core values are like Self-Discovery and Curiosity. You don't ever stop asking the questions. You ask the questions, You write, you research, you journal, jot down and then with that information, you lead your life. A life commitment.Core values are like Adventure & Exploration. For someone who loves to travel and loves going places they haven't gone before, or just enjoying the scenic route. You commit to a life of this adventure and exploration. Discovering new things along the way and maybe even wisdom.Core values are like Spirituality. You navigate religion and don't stick with one, you pull from them. You're spiritual not religious. You commit time to understanding religion , yet, you prefer to navigate life differently, through tarot, numerology, astrology-- maybe some Carl Jung. You would like to believe in something bigger that created it all. Whether that is God or the Universe. You still pray, maybe even still read the Bible. Maybe you're into symbolism, maybe you're just awed by the simple question of, How? You're a mystic in the world.Core values are like Tradition, you stick with what was or create new and it becomes a commitment every year.
