Value Sketch | Silco | 7.26.26

tried something new; decided that if I want to start painting I need to know if I’m capable of working in values without a sketch.

It was uncomfortable the entire time but it’s that good good “getting over it” that makes the brain grow. I can pick out immediately some flaws, but overall I’m HAPPY with it. Holy fuck.

I can’t tell which one of these I like better, but I really like both of them, especially because normally while drawing digitally I zoom in a whole bunch for every long detail, but for this one I stopped myself from ever zooming in.

Inktober: Day 1 - Jhansra (Heterochromia / Who Are You?)

I'm using both the Cringetober and the Baldur's Gate prompts, so I got the chance to combine them for this first day today.

A value sketch of my BG3 OC, Jhansra!

They have the Ersatz Eye after a very desperate, frustrated, severe case of self-harm just letting Volo try to dig the parasite out.

Once Inktober and Nano are over, I might go back and do a full art piece of this.

I did this small sketch earlier today. I meant to make it bigger but I accidentally made it tiny, about 3x5 inches. I may or may not do a bigger, more complete version of it, but I’m not sure yet.
