the au where lance goes to the 'dark side' to try and save leo ???

that one au of an au where we nope’d out of everything
i. leo is completely inconsolable. he’s in constant pain & withdrawals & all he wants is lance but he can’t even have his brother’s arms around him because he’s gone & he KNOWS it’s because of him. he’s volatile most of the time & in order to stop him from hurting himself, the team ends up forcing him to sleep. it doesn’t really help, since when he wakes he’s even more irritable & nearly animalistic. it’s a never ending cycle with rare moments of lucidity.
ii. allura & coran both try to coax leo into a stasis pod when he’s coherent enough, if only to force his body into a state of unconsciousness so he doesn’t feel the pain of withdrawals but he refuses everytime. it reminds him far too much of what he went through. although he does’t actively tell them why, they can assume by how tense he becomes just by seeing the pods. it’s only when he passes out because of the pain can they put him into a pod, always making sure that he’s still unconscious when he’s released so they can get him settled back into his ( lance’s ) room before he wakes
iii. he can’t sleep most of the time & the few times he does, he always wakes up not long after, usually with a scream tearing from his lips & still trapped in whatever nightmare/memory/hallucination he’s seeing. hunk or shiro are usually the ones that have to hold him down to stop him from hurting himself ( or others ) but their actions always end up triggering him into another attack.
iv. he admits to keith one night, when the red paladin is wrapped around him right after managing to stop him from slamming into another wall, that he wishes they never found him, rescued him. he’s not all there, his words slurred but truthful. because if they hadn’t rescued him, tried to help him, lance would be here, not.....wherever he is.
v. leo died calling out for lance. at the very least wanting, needing, to see lance. it helped a little that keith & hunk were holding his hands, that everyone else was there, but lance wasn’t. he died with tears in his eyes & lance’s name on his tongue.
