04Nov2017 Lazy Saturday Valley Golf Pasyal This bed weather is really making me want to snooze more. I was already awake at 4am, but my mind is really set to ride. Rain or rain. Gulong gulong sa kama until 6am, then I still went on to get ready to ride, taking my sweet time. No route in mind, just let the handle bar decide. Yuri just had her bike chain replaced, and her high pressure tires pumped. So it's more of a test ride of sorts. I want to know how it feels having the tires at max pressure. All I can say is: ANG PANGIT NG KALSADA SA PILIPINAS! As in naramdaman ko lahat ng gaspang dahil sa bago kong gulong, it was meant to be riden on asphalt road. As for the chain, it does not match my 7th speed cog. The cog is too worn out with Yuri's mileage, napaghahalata kung paano ako humarabas sa flats. Anyhow, not bad for a 5 year, 8 months and 7 day old bike. Most of her stock parts will be due for replacement in time. I found myself in various major highways today: Marcos, Sumulong, Ortigas Ext., Floodway, Amang Rodriguez and back to Marcos again. On the way up, I had Yuri checked with my bike mechanic along Sumulong. After checking, I went to Bola. Then decided to cruise inside Valley Golf, another place with horrific road condition, I could not enjoy the downhill rush. It was 2011 when I last biked inside Valley Golf and it was the reverse route with Ushi Mitzu. At Ortigas, it was a parking lot, and riding a bike was like a knife slicing through butter. Everybody else is frozen in carmageddon. All through out Floodway, then another build up at Amang Rodriguez, I didn't bother going inside F. Mariano anymore. Just took Amang back to Marcos. Whew!!
