Warrior Brothers .

My first attempts at scrimshawing Viking runes on two bone pieces for two brothers as birthday gifts .

The two Viking style Poker chips are soild bone with cog’d carbon steel and bronze onlays to represent Viking shields .

The scrimshawed runes on the front translate as ‘Warrior Brother’ with their names on the reverse and both are cut from the same bone .

The very old bone amulets were shaped from a piece I found in the river Exe estuary on the famous Jurassic coast both are cut from the same bone .

The inside of the bones have been sealed in copper dust and epoxy mix which is then sanded flat and polished .

The carved in Viking runes translate as ‘Brother’ and were gifted to two identical twins the Isherwood brother’s who served together in Afghan and both now serve on the same volunteer search & rescue team and I’m honoured to call them mates.

These EDC cog beads were made up for a good friend of mine Andrew from Valley Deep Mountain High over on IG https://www.instagram.com/valleydeepmountainhigh/?hl=en  who happens to be a UK Brand Ambassador for Esee knives .

I took inspiration from the main handle colour’s they use on their knives in stonewashed OD green , brown and hunter orange G-10 and kirinite Starlight GITD cores  but please note these beads are not representative of any Esee products .

2018 Cyflect Glint &glow update .

Ive recently added 3 new velcro patch’s to the current production line up .

From  left to right

New 5 of hexagons Max  is 6x2 inch , 5 of hexagons standard is 2 x4 inch ,  new 5 of hexagons small is 1.5 x 3 inch , strip light 1x 3,3/4 inch , sawn off strip light 1 x 2.5  inch . Big square 2x2 inch , new med square 1.5 x 1.5 inch , small square 1x1 inch , 32mm circle , 25mm circle and 19mm circles .

Cyflect Family .

 The current 2017 line up of my glint &glow GITD / reflective kit and personal markers .

All are available in either MK3 double sided Cyflect for Molle use with web- dominator’s /Molle loks or malice clips or MK4 Velcro hook backed for pack /jacket and pouch use .

X3 sizes of circle markers from 19mm /25 and 32mm . 1 inch square for TAD style jackets .  2x2 inch big square , ‘sawn-off’ Strip -light  ,5 of hexagons (3x2 inch ) and Strip -light patch .

 The original Velcro backed Cyflect kit markers since 2014.

Prototype GITD poker chip Velcro .

I was asked by a good customer to make up a Velcro backed version of my Poker chip kit marker .

Though the original materials / design has been improved upon, the basic combination of GITD material and Velcro stays the same since Nov 2013 http://ru-titley-knives.tumblr.com/post/66886138042/another-version-of-my-new-gitd-markers-after  with more up to date Kirinite starlight GITD and cyflect glint and glow materials .

 Please note this particular one I rejected as it was not 100% circular, its only a prototype that is currently on test with Andrew from VDMH http://valleydeepmountainhigh.tumblr.com/ a UK based Search & Rescue specialist and former Army Veteran to make sure there are no issues with the thickness of the material and the possibility of it being dislodged in outdoor use .

Extra large tube vials via survival depot . These large sized containers will easily hold a good variety of EDC / survival gear as well as many other uses either for stashing kit or for geo- caching .

I’ve modified this one with a length of GITD vinyl ,a cool way to make your tube glow without taking up much internal  space and a technique I first saw on a post my Andrew from VDMH  http://valleydeepmountainhigh.tumblr.com/
