⁣ Canon EOS 250D | 18mm | 1/80s | f/18 | ISO 100⁣ Taken on 12/07/2020.⁣ ⁣ When people think of the mountains, they imagine big snow-capped peaks, glaciers, forests, lakes and rushing rivers — and Champoluc has these in abundance.⁣ ⁣ A snowy paradise during the winter and a hidden gem of flower-filled meadows and woodland glades in the summer, Champoluc epitomises the Alps. And with kilometres and kilometres of marked trails, it's a fabulous destination to explore on two feet, blossoming into a walker's paradise during the summer months.⁣ ⁣ One trail I did was the 'Belvedere' that starts from Crest, passes Rifugio Baita Belvedere and finishes at Rifugio Campo Base. It can be completed in a couple of hours; but if you've got a soft spot for lakes, it could take quite a bit longer!⁣ ⁣ Here's a photo of Lago di Saler Superiore that lies below the Baita Belvedere mountain hut.
