Pacificlog was quite the town for sailors, and fishermen. Anyone who appreciated the ocean would love to live there, although for Archie, constant hours living on water would make him seasick. Didn’t mean he couldn’t visit though. The small town reminded him closely of his own home back in Alola, and it made him smile whenever he came over with the Sharpedo pack.

But today, there was a certain someone there. Brendan the coordinator. Someone May always kept going on about, but Archie had no way of ever getting to talk to him face to face. With a grin, he sent one of his sharpedo around in order to splash at Brendan to get his attention.

Hey now, that’s all right.  Sometimes, as much as you love a muse, you just lose touch with them.  It happens, you know?  Maybe he’ll come back to you after a nice break, who knows!  I knew we’re all looking forward to seeing more of that nerdy Pokemaniac of yours, so I can’t wait to see you explore Bill’s character!  Thanks for playing Brendan while you did.  He was a fun addition to the Park!

Mary really, really didn’t want to part with the exotic Vulpix.  She was everything Mary had ever dreamed of ever since she was a child.  The soft, luxurious fur... the big, fluffy ears... and the smallest of beans on her feet!  Aaa, she could hardly stand it!  DJ Mary held the Alolan Vulpix closer to her chest and closed her eyes.  Absolutely delightful.

When the young man, Brendan, strolled into her office, Mary was loathe to let her go.  But she was a professional, and so she stood, greeted the boy, and placed her into his arms.  Vulpix mewled cutely, and it was almost more than she could take.  “This Vulpix is really special!  Her owner gave her up because she likes to dig.  She’s also frightened of loud noises and bright lights.”

Mary patted the boy on the cheek.  “You will take care of her, won’t you?”

Ethan is enthralled with the retelling of the time he witnessed a Regirock rebuild its body after a battle—So much so that he fails to notice when Brendan stalls behind him. Only the snickering from others in the room causes the brunette to realize something is amiss. He turns to Brendan who’s more fixated on the offending plant hanging above them than he ever was with Ethan’s story. 

Mistletoe. 

Huh. 

He lets out a hearty laugh. “C’mon guys we aren’t gonna do…that.” The room protests. Don’t be a Grinch! Tis the season!

Ethan looks to Brendan searching for an out, but finds that the coordinator is just as flustered. His lips press into a line, tanned skin doing well to hide the rosy tint to his cheeks. What’s one kiss among friends?

The show must go on.

Taking initiative Ethan leans up to meet Brendan’s height. With surprising gentleness his hand finds the base of Brendan’s neck to pull him down, closing the remaining distance until their noses touch.

He laughs nervously, their close proximity somehow making it all the more real. “Heh-sorry buddy.” 

His lips envelop the other’s, breath catching as they make contact. Ethan lingers —for just a moment longer than necessary— before his hand slips away from it’s home at Brendan’s neck and the moment ends. 

Desperate times called for desperate measures.  Holly, garland, and tinsel in hand, DJ Mary nodded solemnly.  There was only one thing to be done.  She stole a glance at Meowzie—Meowzie, who wore the most darling red bow around her neck, meowed, and hopped up on her chair, where she proceeded to curl up and fall asleep.  Yes, it seemed everyone felt that holiday spirit.

She checked her Pokétch.  Time to get going.  Pushing up the sleeves of her sweater, and securing her glasses on her nose, Mary set to work decorating her office, studio, Ben’s office, and the foyer of the Tower in record time.  Red and greens and blues and whites and lights and sparkles and snow and stars and so, so much more!  Nobody had ever seen such a festive wonderland.

I wonder if I went a little overboard, she thought, heading back to her office.  She giggled, knowing Ben at least would find it hilarious.  No, there was no such thing as celebrating too much.

Wow, now I can respect a protag who comes with his own theme music!  Gotta say, that’s pretty snazzy.  I mean, Red who?  They don’t even have their own musical accompaniment!  Unbelievable!  Takes a lot of coordination to set something as cool as that up, right?  I knew you were a protag I could rely on.  Continue to be a guy I can rely on and follow everyone on the Masterlist!
