those Soft Close Lid Support worked great for my application. I had some light weight overhead cabinet doors in our camper van. I didn't need much to hold up the doors and these worked perfect!

Her story starts when she was only 5, her small village was raided and her family killed. This is not something she would ever wish to go into detail about, that night still running around her head. After this she was taken by the raiders that had killed everyone else, being told that she would fetch a good price. She was then sold on the black market to be a slave of sorts, but these men did not just work her, they beat her and abused her. She did not remain innocent for long within their grasp. When she became of age it was a surprise that she had not died, something inside of her kept her fighting on. Her body marked and scared, so that no one would take her away from the men. It was one day in this time that they bought another little girl, the same age she had been. The urge within her to protect this girls innocents grew too strong for her to ignore. That night she saved the little girl and those men lost their lives so they could never harm another. But now she was an outcast, the men were not the only people out their doing such acts so now she had to keep running but she would never turn her back upon her blade, upon the enemy.
Vadania’s life started much like everyone else’s. She had her mother’s and father’s love. They never left her without anything. Even at a young age the village could tell that her beauty would surpass those within the village. That made of the woman with their own jealous, leading them to make very unwise decisions. When Vadania turned five, it wasn’t but a week after her birthday that men swarmed the village, pulling men, women and children out of their homes. They did not seem to care who they dragged out onto the dirt covered ground. As Vadania wiped her face from the tears that had strung forth having been dragged out of her bedroom, away from her beautiful dream.
She was lying within a field with white flowers braided within her hair. She lay there staring at the sky watching the pink clouds change shape and form that of mythical creatures. She let out a giggle watching a unicorn in the run around the sky with rabbits hopping this way and that.
It was the last peaceful childish dream she ever had. She looked up, the men had dragged all but one household out into the dirt. One by one they grabbed the men by their hair, exposing their throat to the men’s blades. Screams erupted throughout the village but Vadania kept silent, her eyes glued wide open as she watched her father struggle for air, his blood pooling into the dirt, tainting it red. The men simply stepped over the bodies that now lay their motionless, no emotion showed upon their face, no remorse. Nothing.
A few of the women tried to run. Tried to gain their freedom. But no matter how fast they ran they did not gain their freedom, the death came to them just like their husbands and brothers. Once again she stayed still and silent, muted by the shock, her eyes wide open, fixed that way. Even if she were to close her eyes the sight would stay there.
The men quickly turned their blades on the children. They didn’t act any different, just another life to end. The cries and screams of the children filled the air, and haunted Vadania. She slowly crawled away. Her hands and legs becoming covered in the villager’s blood as it spilt and soaked into the ground. One of the men came around behind her and grabbed at her hair holding her up for the rest to see, she struggled trying to get free from his gasp, she knew what was coming. She didn’t want to die but she didn’t want to be alone either.
Not her! She will fetch a pretty fair amount. Look at her. Make someone a nice meal.
Her eyes watered hearing this, she didn’t know if it was relief that she wasn’t to be killed or fear for what was to happen next. She found herself soaring into the air before coming to a halt with a thud. Looking around she was within their cart. She found a small slit in the slats it was made out of to see what she could see. The bodies still lay untouched, void of life, void of spirit. She saw movement from the house that the men had left alone.
This was not what we agreed! It was only supposed to be the little girl.
A female’s voice filtered through. It was one of her friend’s mothers. Horror etched upon her face. Vadania watched her stumble backwards she could not hear the men and what they said. She sunk back into the cart away from the gap. She had been betrayed, they had all been betrayed. Someone they loved and called a friend had brought death to their village and it was because of her. Her beauty had caused the jealousy, had caused the betrayal. She curled up tightly in a ball and now the tears fell and consumed her. Betrayed by those she had called friends. Betrayed because of beauty.

I added my two recent characters: Quincy and Vadania
Lost Girls: Chapter Nineteen
No Sleep til Barovia || Vadania
Vadania didn’t need to sleep. Sure she could sleep if she wanted to, but why would she if it wasn’t necessary? Especially since sleeping caused dreams and those were things she had never been able to understand. So she didn’t sleep. Instead she would lay in the bedroll next to Alya and go into her trance. And during her trance memories would filter in and out.
Usually they were just random memories from her past life, her present life, and her primal soul. Since coming to Barovia they were all present memories and were all from moments within this cursed land. And while there were some bad memories that came through, most of them were happy. She was reminded of their victories and the moments they spent laughing with each other.
But tonight...
