Lord Royce had advised against his staying much to Robin’s dismay. He wanted to stay in Winterfell and fight, to swing a sword and stand by his men much like Lady Royce said a Lord usually is to do. But Robert Arryn wasn’t a usual Lord and he couldn’t swing a sword. Sure, he was good with a bow, excellent in a hunt. But patience and keen focus wasn’t how you killed a wight. He was too much of a liability and more harmful than helpful to the men sworn to his house. Still, he didn’t HAVE to like it.

At the very least he would see to it that the supplies requested to Winterfell from the Vale were delivered with just enough time to rest and head back before the long night came.

Yohn Royce’s words were never forgotten by the young Lord of the Vale even back when full consciousness faded in and out and he almost had his most loyal executed. When pretty words spoken from devils in disguised attempted to distort his perception for their own gain. P R O T E C T O R of the Vale; Peytr Baelish was hardly that for having the young falcon’s wings clipped; polluting his body until Robin was malleable and seemingly beyond repair. Now he stood faced with all the responsibility he had never been properly prepared for, the weight of the House of Arryn weighing him down more then he could have ever thought possible. The weight of men who could still be loyal to the man who had tried to rip every root and stem of his family.

Robin Arryn would see that weight shed right through the moon door. In this moment, as the remaining of Little Finger’s loyalist (whether becoming so by mistake or coin) were lined up around the circular exit, the heir to the Eyrie had never been more clear of mind. He couldn’t ever hope to properly swing a sword but what were blades compared to the gates in the sky?

Robin is 6 and Bran is 7 in book one. For convenience sake I like to think of them as being the same age give or take a few months. That being said, I stick by that age assessment for the show. Which is [one] of the reasons I chose a different actor (the other being the amount of content and overall vibe I’m portraying). So season 8 Robin is probably 16-17 and I’m going to stick with 17.

my main verse based on episodes 1, 2 & 3:

Winterfell — Robin is trying to prove himself as a capable and proper Lord. Considering how fragile he was and what was done to him it’s reasonable that everyone wants him to stay at the vale. He’s alone. The only other people he knows and trusts (Sansa and Lord Royce) are at Winterfell. Even with the dead approaching he’s only going to FEEL safe being NEAR THEM. So I don’t see him staying at the Vale or at the very least he would go to Winterfell and try/argue to stay there. He would have arrived before Jon and Dany went to Winterfell.

He’d probably send more fighting men to Winterfell and accompany them as they march North.

Hunting —  It relaxes Robin. Much like knitting would for some people. He can concentrate and be intricate with his actions and everything has a cause and affect and he finds that soothing. If he’s heading North it’s likely they’d have to stop and hunt to keep him at ease and it also benefits for bringing more supplies to Winterfell.

Learning —  Robin would either be by Lord Royce or Sansa’s side and most likely they would be guiding and tutoring him as they handled all their leadership affairs.

Tyrion — Robin is obviously uncomfortable around Tyrion and will usually keep himself at a distance and not look at him. Mostly because he tends to trigger memories of his mother he’d rather not recall.

Jaime’s Trial — It amuses me to think he’d be sitting with the rest of his family and making some off-hand comment about if they were in the Vale they could throw him through the moon door. Part of it would be a joke but considering things I feel like some people would be all shifty eyes at him. >__>

Independence — Robin considers the Vale and the Riverlands to be part of The North now. The Riverlands since they declared for Robb and The Vale since he declared for Sansa and Jon. He supports their independence.

The crypts — If he stays in Winterfell (most likely due to it being too late for him to leave) he’d be placed in the Crypts. Lord Royce probably arms him with a bow and dragon glass arrows and advises him to protect those he’s in the crypts with as a means persuading him. Robin is also not stupid, he can’t fight and knows he’s a liability on the field.

Final hours — He’s probably with Royce who’s trying to subtly sprinkle in some last minute wisdom onto Robin in case he doesn’t make it. He’s also probably telling Robin stories about Jon Arryn and it’s probably the first time he’s hearing anything genuine about his father and able to retain it.

Fight for the Dawn —  Robin is in the crypts while the battle is going on. When the dead in the crypt stir he uses his bow and dragon glass arrows until they run out. Towards the end he has a seizure and is ushered to the very back of where everyone is hiding until the night King is taken out.

He was tired of hearing what he should or shouldn't be doing. Robin Arryn was the Lord of the Vale. Shouldn't that mean he should actually SEE the Vale? He hadn't left the Eyrie since his father's death and until The Royce's fostered him during Little Finger's reign of the land. Now that all of Baelish's misdeeds were brought to the light and he was now dead, the true protector of the Vale was expected to step up. Still, there was concern for exactly how much he could do while he was still recuperating from a lifetime of affliction cause by his mother and the man who had tried to unravel his family completely.  TRIED AND FAILED.  Robin was determined to prove to everyone he had every right to sit above the clouds.

So determined, in fact, that he left the security of the Eyrie for exploration with their guest; the last surviving Tyrell who sought refuge from the Lions.  By the time they began to regret the decision they had already forgotten what path they were suppose to be on.

Pale orbs searched for a concrete horizon but the mountainous terrain wouldn't allow it. Had Robin been more familiar he would have known that the passage back to the castle wasn't very far at all but his own lands were strange to him. No wonder there was so much doubt with his name.

His only image of WINTERFELL came from the snow recreation Sansa had built during her time in the Vale. The small reproduction hardly compared to the actual thing even with layers of the cold blanket building onto the fortress.  Lord Royce had suggested he stay in the Vale but when The North asked for more men to defend against the long night, Robin could hardly deny the desire to see the place for himself. Right now, in the light of the morning it was more beautiful than when he saw it in the night upon his arrival.

Heavy furs replaced feathers and silk as the cold air nipped his cheeks. It was much colder here than high above the clouds in the Eyrie. For what seemed like the first time he felt like his senses were sharp, crediting it entirely to the bitter temperature. He watched from his perch as his commander of the Knights added more orders to the smiths.
