What's astonishing about political commentators is they all do this, and they all think this is somehow useful to anyone but other political commentators.

I broke down in tears. I didn't even know that could still happen... I guess, my fears were confirmed. Maybe that's what wrong with me, maybe I care too much and don't deal with things. 

Oh well. Here is what it said: 

"Just so you know, I never chose my pride over you. I never really chose anything over you, and maybe that's where I went wrong for so long. For all intents and purposes, I love you. Nothing will ever change that, no person nor any amount of time. You are, amazing in the simplest words. Brilliant, witty, hilarious, talented, eccentric, tedious, aggravating and understanding. I'm going to miss your "blues face". Bringing you Oatmeal Cookie Chunk and Red Velvet. Watching movies in your dark room at 4 in the morning. Making fun of Monty and playing Portal 2 while ridiculously hammered. Steak Angus. Bennigan's. Trail Dust. Steak and Ale. Spaghetti Warehouse. That one day you told me you loved me too, and actually believed it/meant it. Picking out your clothes, and smiling at your little obsessions over your hair. But most of all, I'm going to miss, I have missed, and I fear I will never ever stop missing... you. My best friend.

No matter what, I will always be there for you. I promised, and I don't break promises. Whenever. Wherever. Whatever. I'll still be here, to make you smile, make you laugh, or just... to sit there in silence.

All this is to say I never chose my pride over you. I'm still in, if you're still in. Thus, goodbye, at least for now. If we are never going to speak again, I wish I could have had a proper goodbye, to give you an awkward hug and leave you with a smile. But, just know that just to know you, like I did... for even the shortest amount of time, was worth all of it. You, you were worth all of it.
