De Rock Tribune has reviewed the new album "Usurpation Of The Seven" by Ars Veneficium in their April edition! Scoring the album 8/10 points! Purchase / Stream: http://smarturl.it/usurpationoftheseven Review translated to English: With "The Reign Of The Infernal King" this quintet from Limburg already showed that they belong to the better black metal bands of Belgium. The four years that have passed since then have been put to good use. Successor "Usurpation Of The Seven" sounds as if all capacities of the band have doubled. Especially fans of fast and orthodox necro black metal will go completely crazy here. Ars Veneficium excels in fast, violent and hate-filled black metal a la Gorgoroth. More than once you also hear something of the greatness, swagger and song structure of Watain, including those typical 'thunder drums'. The very filthy grating growl voice of frontman S. sounds as if he seems to gargle with nitric acid. Yet the emphasis here is a bit more on the wanton side and less on the strong guitar harmonies. Not that these are not there, but less numerous and also less melodic in nature than with a Watain. A plus is certainly the raw, yet clear production that ensures that all instruments come out of the mix equally well and thus provide maximum striking power. One of the most notable songs from the album is probably 'De Luiaard Heerst', which is more inclined towards Acherontas in terms of atmosphere and seriously enhances that effect by drumming up V. Priest (acherontas, Shibalba) for some cool guest vocals in his typical narrative style. #immortalfrostproductions #arsveneficium #usurpationoftheseven #rocktribune #blackmetal #blackmetalmusic #blackmetalband #review https://www.instagram.com/p/B_ciGebpqBo/?igshid=w5tiwkdu6f5
