Dear Dean Aligada,
I was a law school freshie when you walked into our class and said, "So this is the class of scholars, do not worry, I will make sure you will all lose your scholarship next semester". You even said, "Law school will never adjust to you, you will adjust to law school." i have to admit you were right all along. I wish I could have listened to every word you said because you have seen students like me come and go. You always checked up on me, asking me if I am already ready to take the bar, even offering a free review session, you have always affirmed that you believe in our batch, that you believe in me. I entered the senior year with shattered confidence, hopeless and even close to giving up. Never did I hear a reprimand or any discouraging remark. You simply reminded me that I am out of shape and that I better study hard. You told me that I could make it and that you believed in me. I never thought a simple affirmation can make a great difference. Ai never thought a simple concern can bring light and hope to someone who had lost the eye on the price. Thank you Dean Aligada. You may have shouted and scared everyone out of wits end. You may have humiliated us to the point of wishing we could simply go back to our mother's womb. You may have received harsh comments or words from law students but I still want to thank you for everything. Thank you for being my mentor. Thank you for inspiring me and thank you for believing in me especially at times when I do not even believe in myself anymore. Professors like you inspire me to do my best and top the bar. Yes, Dean Aligada, I will do my best in the Bar Exam that you will smile proudly once you see my name in the Roll of Bar passers (topnotchers).
