Facebuster is about a feeling.  The exhibition Facebuster comprises works by 22 artists that span age, dimension, and space but share an affinity for irreverence. The work is irreverent to medium, discipline, and form. It is juvenile, petty, snotty, dim-witted and ugly-pretty in itâs surrender to chance, process and whim. A flutter of the eyes, a stirring in the corners of the mouth.  âWrite me a poem about smiles!â  âNo!â she frowned âIâm not a poet and I donât pretend to be.â Her glasses fogged from the boiling water, âWhat type of smile are you looking for anyway?â âThe large contagious kind,â I replied smartly as I tried to embody the very thing I was trying to describe. She frowned again. âWell, I wouldnât know anything about that. Pass me the salt.â Yours is the best. Sometimes you fake it but I know that it is not sincere.  QUAID is an artist collective and gallery space located in Tampa, FL. The Collective was founded in 2014 by members of the Tampa Drawers Sketch Gang, a group of Tampa artists who met weekly at various locations to collaborate and draw. The project has since expanded to a permanent location with a focus on contemporary artists creating mixed media exhibitions. In addition to monthly curatorial projects, QUAID hosts a variety of events including first Fridays, literature readings, drawing nights, and film screenings. CHANCE MEETING highlights the material discourses of sculptors Phillip Scarpone and Taylor Pilote.
