Medicine and diseases during the war of 1812.

Slaves in the south lived in horrible conditions and therefore contracted horrible diseases. Such diseases were anything from hernias, pneumonia, and lockjaw. Those diseases were primarily formed from bad diet whereas inadequate sanitation caused diseases such as cholera.

Samuel F. B. Morse experimented with the first form of electronic communication. This device ended up being the electronic telegraph. Along with the telegraph, he created the Morse code which is a series of dots and dashes that represent letters of the alphabet.

In the battle at the Alamo, every soldier was killed. Only about 30 people were spared. These 30 non combative people consisted of African Americans, women, and children.

 This is the picture of the first capacitor. A capacitor is a passive electrical component used to store energy. The man in the picture is Musschenbroek He is attempting to create the first capacitor in this picture. He did succeed to create a current but he shocked himself to store energy.  A man named John Bevis came along to correct the errors of Musschenbroek which you can observe in the second picture. In the last picture is Ben Franklin's depiction who was said to have the best understanding of the capacitor.
