i see work/family friends in the sense that spirit is relatively aware of goings-on in the mutant community but only engages when she thinks it will be safe and entertaining, especially with harris&co back in her life

also: spirit will NOT go to school but she WILL spam joey with emails until they are friends 

spirit is kiiiiiind of using joey for access to basic resources probably (netflix, car, books, $ for the utility bill when she is having a tough time)? but in a charming way? and sometimes she is nice to him and buys him things? she will come over and make him pasta?
