at least for pokemon like ampharos it just gets rad wool...it seems to vary in 'HEY THIS IS TERRIBLE' depending on the pokemon...

true-- Slowbro is also noted to just like. not even care when it’s Mega Evolved lmao....in fact, one entry says that it finds being swallowed whole by its Shellder to be “pretty comfortable” (really didn’t need to know that Slowbro are into vore, Rotom, but okay, thanks, that’s cool). there’s also a lot of Megas that didn’t get any new, updated lore in SM/USUM (Altaria, Audino, Sceptile, etc.), so we're free to think whatever about how the process really effects them

i’m not entirely sure where the conversation started but apparently @usagisquared got a friend of hers into arc-v and they’ve been gushing over reiji and at one point they pointed out that rabbits tend to have very stoic looking faces. like reiji. 

my answer was somewhere along the lines of “seems legit” and hence. akabunny reiji. with ears long enough to use as a scarf. because he’d probably do that. 

i’d buy that being the intent the whole time and the ‘rivals’ being less a manner of rivalry for judai and more a manner of drawing judai’s own growth or lack of growth out tbh :0a judai’s issue of ignorance is brought up very early in the series, and it’s the thing that comes up to bring the most Dire problem later on- we see these 'rivals’ and even non-rivals around him face challenges and change but not him (for a while anyway) and it feels like that highlights it

I mean it should be kept in mind that I am not the best person to criticize GX because I’m not capable of giving the writers too much credit lmao (and that’s considering I originally watched the series with the Janime subs back when that was a thing)
