Our Premise
The premise page for Mad About the Boy is up for your perusal. This is a good summary of what the game is about, without getting bogged down in a great deal of detail.
This is a game that explores complex themes regarding gender, feminism, fertility, environmentalism, family and social structures. What originally attracted us to the idea of running it was the fact that no two outcomes of the four or so times it has already been run have ever been the same. Environmental factors such as local culture, whether certain types of players were allowed to participate, and what systems were employed by various game staffs have all had varied and fascinating outcomes upon the game.
A version of Mad About the Boy run in Israel would be very different than one run in Canada, for example, and it's interesting to see how women around the world react differently to the same situation.
