My progress since July!
It has grown about 3 cm since my haircut (July 10) and my bangs are currently 25 cm long (I figured it’d be easier to measure my bangs than the rest of the hair).
What I use for my hair:
Internally: I recently bought Cocoa Locks, a chocolate powder full of vitamins that are great for hair growth, and I’ve been drinking it for a week now. I’m looking forward to see if it works on my hair. Fingers crossed!
Shampoo: Urtekram ‘Aloe Vera shampoo’
I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and use this shampoo each time.
Conditioner: Sante ‘Shine Conditioner’ (bio birch leaf & burdock root)
Every time I wash my hair I’ll leave my conditioner in for about 2-5 minutes.
Treatments: The Innate Life ‘Scalp Treatment’ and The Innate Life ‘Herbal Hair Mask’
I’ve been using The Innate Life’s products for the past 3 months and my hair has never been this soft and shiny before! Once a week I’ll put the Scalp Treatment on my scalp, flip my head upside down and massage it in for about 5 minutes. Then I’ll put the Herbal Hair Mask on the lengths of my hair and keep both products in overnight and wash it out in the morning.
Oils etc: The Innate Life ‘Rose Hair Elixir’, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Aloe Vera (the plant and Urtekram ‘Aloe Vera Gel’)
My hair loves oils, especially my ends, they just soak it up. I put oils on my ends at least once a day, sometimes even twice a day, in either the morning or before I go to bed. First I’ll put aloe vera in my hair and then one of the oils. I switch between the Rose Hair Elixir (smells amazing btw) and the coconut oil most days, and when my hair feels extra dry I’ll use the shea butter instead.
Heat protection: Löwengrip Care & Color ‘The Heat is On’
You might have noticed by now that I try to only use products with natural ingredients. But it’s not always easy to find natural products that work for you. That’s the case with heat protection for me, so for now I’m using a conventional one. (If you have any recommendations for a natural heat protection that works great, let me know!). I haven’t been using The Heat is On for long, so I can’t say how effective it is, but it does smell really good.
Another thing I do that’s worth mentioning is that I sleep with my hair in braids. Sometimes I’ll do one braid and other times I’ll do two braids, to protect it from breakage.
