My fan art of @ursuladecayart ‘s OC Olly is finally done! (Well actually its been done a while I’ve just been too busy to post it -_-)

I’ve been such a big fan of Ursula for so long, the incredible depth to all of her characters made me want to expand my own OCs and really try to solidify their stories. I love her art so much, and especially Olly so I just had to paint him! All credit for this character and his design goes to @ursuladecayart as well as the poster in the background which I had Olly graffiti lmaooo

Coloring and lining this was so relaxing compared to the chaotic energy I have when I line and color my own art.

For a long time, I’ve loved @ursuladecayarts Universe. I loved the characters and the setting and augh! Just... everything.

Recently I commissioned her to draw two OCS of mine who have recently been shoved into the Void- a place where I put ocs who don’t have a setting yet. Jayden and Flounder were added into the Void due to a messy break up with a friend (they were incredibly abusive not only to me, but to Jayden. Always beating him and even doing something incredibly disgusting with their main character and Jayden).

I was already planning on putting them in a certain Universe of my own, but changed my mind when I saw how Ursula had drawn them:

So here’s the new (and hopefully improved) story of how Jayden and Flounder fit into her Unvierse.

Jayden was a regular kid in a poor part of town. His mom was a fashion designer and his dad was a fisherman. Both paid well, but Jayden had 4 other siblings. So money was tight growing up.

As he grew, he began taking notice of all these people coming to his neighborhood, destroying property and messing people up. He even began to notice when people would be kicked out and end up in his neighborhood.

You see, he himself wasn’t like the kids at school - sure, there were gay kids and kids that liked weird things, but Jayden wasn’t... Jayden. Not yet. Jayden was constricted, at all times it felt. He felt like his clothes didn’t suit him, nor his surroundings, not his name, nor even his body.

Jayden didn’t have a word for it until he was 20 : Trans.

But as a kid, he became hyper focused on how to fix the issues in his neighborhood, with the help of his unwilling best friend, Flounder. Flounder basically made sure Jayden didn’t get himself killed or expelled.

From elementary school to the first day of middle school, Jayden couldn’t do much, obviously. Make some food for the homeless teens who were his sisters age, make blankets for the older ones who looked like his brother.

When middle school came around, he got a job, started saving. It was during this time that he got the crazy idea to start a ‘gang’.

It wasn’t really a gang. It was more of a helping center during those stages. That’s what Flounder tried to keep Jayden fixed on. But when high school rolled around, something changed.

Jayden was walking home when he witness yet another shootout. The difference was that his brother, visiting from collage, was killed during it. Jayden was furious and sad and a whole mixture of emotions about this. The person who supported him and loved him the most was now gone.

Jayden’s focus shifted. Now he talked weapons, fighting styles, and darker subjects. Before long, he was implementing these thoughts into reality. People from outside his neighborhood who did damage were found beaten. Others were killed, but many were let go, with a warning.

It was just his neighborhood, at first. He took care of his own, with Flounders help. Then Flounder brought in twins, then a Mexican girl who’d been kicked out by her parents and boyfriend. More and more, teens like him and vastly different joined in. One block stretched to four, then four across and four wide. Eventually, they began taking care of a good chunk of the city.

The Thirteen Gang (?) and the new ‘Sirens’ has a few standoffs. Thirteen claimed Sirens were stepping on turf, but Sirens claimed Thirteen were having shootouts on their turf.

It came to a stalemate. Jayden and the leader of the 13 made an agreement that if any members came on either side, they’d be cared for until someone picked them up. If they caused damage, it was the go-ahead go deal with the issue immedietly.

The Sirens are identified by the fish-ear like piercings (as shown in the picture <3). If you marry someone within the gang, it is possible to get matching piercings. However, it’s not necessary.

Jayden and Flounder tied the knot despite many protests, mostly saying that there were liabilities to the marriage. They ignored these. Obviously they can care for themselves.

At present, Jayden takes in all sorts of teens, giving them food, shelter, and acceptance, whether they be gay, trans, whatever. Flounder remains Jayden’s bodyguard, but he does have a voice in Jayden’s choices, preferably a reasonable one, since Jayden can be quite the hothead.

There have only been a few instances of 13/Sirens clashes, but they were all minor.

I’m sure Olly would meet Jayden once, maybe. Maybe he was being stupid, drove onto the Sirens turf and unknowingly caused trouble until he was detained until Jayden showed up?

Jayden would call everyone in Ollys phone once it’s been handed over, no doubt. “Hey, come pick up this guy, he’s causing trouble and I’d really rather he leave.”

A small note is that Jayden isn’t on any medication for his being trans. He’s afraid of hospitals and doctors, of even taking any sort of medicine. So when he gets sick, it’s obviously a pain, haha.
