I have already read Wild Ride multiple times now since it came out and I loved getting to meet Needle! I really want to draw her. She is such a cool character and I feel a lot of sympathy for her since she is so young and clearly being misguided. I hope we get to see more of her perspective later on! This issue had a lot of fun action scenes in it! And great illustration work. I am mesmerized by how Needle’s action poses are drawn because her shapes are so unique. (Also that cliffhanger… 👀 I became so excited I had to stand from my seat. Could this mean we are getting a Storm Horizon focused issue soon? She is my favorite character so I can’t wait for more to be explored about her!) Very exciting to see where things go next! I hope it is okay to send fanmail kinda messages like this. Thanks for making such awesome comics!

i won’t lie cuz it can be really daunting, but everyone has their own way of doing things and i’m always learning about ways to make my pipeline more efficient

every 25 pages takes me about 6 months of work from script to finish, a colored page takes like an average of 4 hours from pencil to finish

(also this is assuming youre doing stuff digitally but i guess a lot of this could apply for traditional media comics as well?)

some tipz i guess!! 

write a script. Write a script. it helps you know exactly what you have to plan out and what sorts of locations & things you have to design. i never used to write scripts and it was so painful dont be like me

do at least rough sketches of all the locations and vehicles and whatnot you’ll have to draw

get a really deep understanding of whatever art program youre using, because there could be shortcuts that’ll save you HOURS in the long run

everyone draws differently of course but i try really hard to make my pencils almost completed drawings so the inking process is faster

basically do as much work on the front end as possible. at every step you should be like “i want to make this easier for myself down the line”

have a schedule even if you dont stick to it perfectly. it helps me to over estimate how much time i’ll need for things and plan around that

💀 - Who’s your favorite OC to draw and why?

HMMMM while i draw hale a LOT its mostly cause its easy to think of funny things for him to say but honesly its prolly spike i mean look at this

💩 - Which OC is most like you? Definitely Two. They used to be a self-insert and it shows. We have identical perspectives on fiction and making art lol.
