Jess, Darcy and Kane had snuck into Grim’s house, it was his birthday and they wanted to decorate the place before he woke up. Sneaking in wasn’t that hard with Jess’s shadow travel and Kane was trying to his best to be quiet so everything was going well so far.

Jess gently put Kane back down onto the ground before both stared up at the ‘happy birthday’ banner they’d made the night before and had just finished hanging up, the two sharing a proud grin before Jess shooed Kane off to the kitchen to hide with Darcy and the cake before she snuck off to Grim’s bedroom and knocked heavily on the door.

Jess wasn’t quite sure why this had never occurred to her, Darcy and her could make yummy but basic looking baked treats and they could kind of nicely decorate a cake if you gave them fruit to hide the mistakes.

But she had a baker for a mother.

Why had ordering and helping Juliet bake and decorate-and by decorate she meant, sat and watched so she didn’t mess it up while her mother worked- a delicious Ursa Major AKA bear star themed cake never popped into her head?

She had no idea but eventually, it had and it was pretty damn amazing and she knew Grim was going to fucking love it.

After thanking her mother and giving her a particularly tight hug-which was progress for them considering how awkward their previous hugs had been in the past- she'd shadow travelled off to Grim’s place. Cakebox in hand. She gave the outside of the place a quick sweep before going over and knocking on the front door.

Whether Grim was actually home or not was another question entirely

Jess finished putting the last touches on the birthday cake before her and Darcy both took a step back and shared a proud grin, they may have been up since 3 am baking and decorating but gods was it worth it for the amazing double layered cake in front of them. Kane had long since fallen asleep and been moved to one of the spare bedrooms and the two of them were keeping quiet for his sake.

Jess glanced at the time, doing some mental quick maths for a moment. It was around 8, she could shadow travel over to Grim’s place, wake him if he wasn’t already up, wish him a happy birthday and easily get him to her place for cake and gifts. She didn’t know too many of his friends so she was just planning to steal him away for the morning, that way he had plenty of time for other people to drop by and visit. . .assuming he’d told anyone about his newly decided birthday. She gave her sister a quick hug, told her to go and nap and that she’d text her before she popped over with Grim before she shadow travelled off.

Jess tucked herself further against the trunk of the tree, a mischievous grin on her face as she kept an eye on Grim’s house. In typical Jess fashion, she’d done some hair dye trickery and as soon as he used what she’d more or less bobby trapped. He’d be stuck with lime green hair.

sunflower: if there was a door that went to a city that was a good representation of you, what city would it be and would you go through the door?

“Much like my mun, I have no idea what city that would be. I would, however, go ‘fuck this!’ and run through the door. I can always just ST back home again so I don’t really care about that, curious as hell now”

blushing: describe a rad person you know.

“I know too many rad people though! I can’t pick just one of them! Jisu is the best big brother ever who makes the best fancy popcorn in the world and who gives out great big brother advice and some of the best hugs, Holden is a giant nerd, he’s getting better and he’s an awesome cousin to have around and he’s trying really hard and him and Maria are adorable together, Grim is 100% best bear-god-dad ever, he makes the best pies and awesome hot chocolate and he’s really cool about me dyeing his hair sneakily and he’s just awesome”.

journal: would you dye your hair if you had the opportunity? why or why not?

“I asked Ames to turn my hair blonde once and I never want to do it again, I don’t really think I would? Unless it was like temp dye for like Halloween or something like that”

Lena was happily chatting to a woman at the market she was at, the two talking in Spanish. A language that came quite easy to the warlock by now, she’d been speaking it more than she had any other language with Spain being sort of a bolt hole for her for many many years. She was there picking up some oils and other ingredients she was planning on using to experiment on bath bombs when she saw someone very very tall out of the corner of her eye. At the fruit and vegetable stand of all places.

He seemed far older than even her but didn’t feel like any being she’d ever come across and she’d come across many in her time, she flashed the woman a warm smile before paying her and promising to come back tomorrow when she had more stock before she made her way over. Her bought items in bags in the small woven basket she held. 

“Hello there” She said flashing him a warm smile before starting to look over the produce as if she was simply there to shop.
