omg yeah its really bleeegh i just tell myself thats how high schoolers would talk anyway ishimaru and mondo were pretty insufferable but i think with chi and sakuras storyline it was really a hard commentary on gender roles without it being like a plot point ya feel me like sakuras was you dont have to be a man to be strong and she was very feminine and chi wanted to stop being bullied like rather than be picked on he presented himself as a woman and the folly of his story was getting murdered by a man possessed by his fear of weakness
