Uri, The Surgical Strike.... This army thriller is based on real life events. Starting with the attack into myanmaar, to get the terrorists from neutral territory , led by Kaushal, "Uri", from the first scene, promisedp to be a allout jingo patriotic movie! Then the government disastrous handling of the Pathankot airbase attack, the movie creates a nice background of why the modi Sarkar desperately needs a victory. The pak terrorists attack uri army base, and the pace for the movie increases manifold. Vicky Kaushal volunteers for leading the operation to kill the terrorists in their home base of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). And as history records.. They were successful The politicians, other than narendra modi are depicted quite weak. Modi is played by Rajit Kapoor, and is quite realistic. Parikar as the defence minister particularly stand out as spineless. Doval played by Paresh rawal was mechanical, I felt... No "Josh"! Yamini Gautam and keerti kulhari provided the eye candy, with promises of romance... The background score keeps you on tenterhooks throughout. There is a Indian version of "Q" also..... I went to this Vicky Kaushal starrer with no expectations... Ended up feeling patriotic, not as much as after seeing Border, but the movie is entertaining for sure. The timing of the release of the movie, I'm sure, is aligned with the upcoming April 2019 elections. This movie, along with Accidental Prime Minister and Thackeray, are a brilliant strategy by the BJP... Propaganda anda at it's best, pure goebbels. Not being negative, but that's exactly what he did! Truly impressed! 4/5 for me, must see!
