aid – help them with a task.
what on earth could have possibly prompted two students ( who shall remain nameless, but are absolutely bakugou and kaminari ) to speed past him wildly – effectively blowing more than half of a stack of ungraded papers out of his arms and scattering them all over the hallway – is far beyond aizawa’s scope of understanding. just as far from him is his capacity for patience in the face of reckless students, and he snaps upright from his patented slouch with such fervor and suddenness that his back produces a very, very bad sound.
the resounding CRACK all but echoes the hallway, and rage melts from his face, morphing now into one of horror. pain doesn’t overtake him yet, but panicked eyes dart around at the papers that he’ll absolutely have to bend over to pick up and he knows, the second that he does…
thirty one years old, and he’s got the back of a geriatric.
pleading eyes lock onto the first person that he spots, and it’s fortunate that uraraka might be that person; embarrassing, perhaps, when he gestures weakly to the papers around him and lets out what can only be described as a squeak in front of his student, lips pursed tightly to hold back any actual pained noises. there’s no way she missed what’s happened here, and he is positively mortified.
the papers are handed back to him, and he nods with gratitude, standing stiffly and startlingly straight up. she’s probably never seen him at his full height, which his usual posture shaves a solid inch off of. clearing his throat, aizawa maintains his composure – but only just. “ i’m alright. but for an… unrelated reason… mind grabbing recovery girl?”
… perhaps how high his voice goes, at the end there, gives him away.
