⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just Like Home ripped me apart. I’m not sure what more one could want from a haunted house book. I read the last 70% or so in one long late night binge even though I kept getting more and more freaked out and it was more and more past my bedtime. The only way I can describe it is Haunting of Hill House by way of T Kingfisher does Mexican Gothic. I’ll never look at the shadows under my bed the same way again. This book gets in your brain and under your nails like grease, and no matter how many “out, out, damned spots” you hiss while washing your hands it won’t let you go.
