                        “i’m gonna tell you something, and i need you not to laugh when i do.” for someone who’s so frank most of the time, this is actually the first time she’s ever been this straightforward with seojun, panting as she corners him after some light training and sparring. it’s exhausting to think of her feelings but even more so to keep them in so here she is, ready to bare it all. one hand rests against the wall close to his head, her much shorter frame doing very little to make her seem at all intimidating ( though he probably knows better than to underestimate her ). “promise me you’re not gonna laugh.” 

                    she   lets   out   a   huff   of   air  ,   trying   to   exhale   annoyance   to   no   avail  .    arms   are   crossed   over   her   chest   as   she    stares   him   down   (  in   theory   ...   she   was   looking   up   at   him   &   that   only   ever   made   her   more   annoyed  .  )    she   feels   like   her   ego   is   bruised   standing   here   like   this   with   so   much   obvious   jealousy  .    “    that   was   friendly  ?   uh  -  huh  ...  okay  ,   let’s   say   i   believe   you   for   even   a   second  ;   if   i   was   that   friendly   with   someone   else  ,   how   would   you   feel  ?   people   already   have   to   think   you’re   single  ,   don’t   go   making   them   think   they   have   a   chance  .    ”

                   lips settle on her features in a semi-pout, brows furrowed-- she’s clearly confused and unable to see the signs. see, it’s pretty obvious to anyone else’s eye that he likes her but to pinky, he’s just... persistent. ( she’s blind to these things. ) “why would you wanna stay here? my apartment’s so tiny.” not to mention, rather disorganized. frankly, it should turn him away. and yet, he asks to stay. “if you’re gonna sleep over, you’ll have to take the floor. i’ve only got one bed.”

                    “so what’s it like being a vampire?” the way she says that out loud in the public space they were in would make anyone question if she were currently under the influence. for once, naoko wasn’t, and was actually serious with her query. and while she already knows a vampire ( quinn ), she’d never bothered asking her about it so she figured to ask seojun instead. “can you, like, smell my blood or something?”

                         how   could   he   be   so   bold  ?   isha   was   damn   near   the   embodiment   of   perfection  .   at   least  ,   she   thought   she   was  .   the   first   time   that   she   ever   laid   eyes   upon   her  ;   her   heart   sank   into   the   pit   of   her   stomach  .   how   could   she   ever   hope   to   compare  ?   seeing   her   at   seojun’s   side  ...   she   could   not   help   but   think   of   what   a   beautiful   couple   the   pair   would   make  .   yet  ,   there   he   stood  .   proclaiming   that   he   didn’t   care          that   she   wasn’t   miu  .   “   i   ...   but   our   deal  ...   ”   she   stammered  ,   gaze   searching   his   as   if   to   find   an   answer  .   what   was   she   to   make   of   this   whole   situation  ?   “   are   you   saying   that  ...   that   you   want   to   be   with   me  ?   ...   you   still   have   two   years   to   decide  ...   ”

                         the   pair   have   lived   together   for   quite   some   time   now  .   over   time  ,   they’ve   become   very   comfortable   with   each   other  ,   to   say   the   least  .   others   swore   up   and   down   that   they   flirted   any   chance   they   got  .  .  .  but   they   quickly   disagreed  .   they   were   just   friends            no   more  ,   no   less  .   tonight   was   like   any   other  .   the   two   of   them   curled   up   on   the   couch  ,   eating   snacks  ,   and   scrolling   through   netflix   to   find   a   movie   to   watch  .   his   words   stunned   her   .   could   he   what  .  .  .  ?   had   she   heard   him   correctly  ?   her   gaze   settles   upon   his   face  ,   attempting   to   read   him  .  .  .  to   see   if   he   had   been   genuine  .   miu   would   be   lying   if   she   said   she   hadn’t   thought   of   kissing   him   before  .   they’re   always   around   each   other  ,   and   that   want   is   always   lingering   in   the   back   of   her   mind  .   it   wouldn’t   hurt   if   they   did  ,   right  ?   it’s   one   harmless   little   kiss  .    “   o-oh  ,   i   don’t   see   why   not  .  .  .   sure  .   you   can   kiss   me  .   ”

                         it   had   gone   too   far   this   time  .   the   pair   has   never  ,   not   once   in   their   time   of   knowing   each   other  ,   fought   this   badly  .   yelling   filled   the   small   apartment  ,   tears   streamed   down   cheeks  ,   and   her   heart   ached  .   it   ached   worse   than   ever   before  .   a   part   of   her   knew   that’s   because   she   could   feel   what   was   coming  .   deep   down  ,   she   knew   the   thought   that   lingered   in   his   mind   and   burned   bright   within   his   eyes  .   don’t  ,   she   thought   to   herself   over   and   over  .   chanting   it   within   her   head   as   though   he   could   hear   her  .   no   words   left   her  ,   though  .   and   in   an   instant  .  .  .   the   room   had   begun   spinning  ,   her   gaze   following   him   as   he   stormed   to   his   room  .    this   couldn’t   be   happening  .   this   was   the   last   thing   she   wanted   to   happen  .   “   seojun  ,   seojun  .  .  .   wait            wait  ,   w-we   can   talk   about   this  ,   ”   her   voice   is   small   as   she   stumbles   froward  ,   following   after   him   to   the   best   of   her   ability  .   “   this  .  .  .   this   is   an   extreme  .  .  .   i-it   doesn’t   need   to   go   this   far  ,   ”   she’s   pleading   now   .   desperate   for   him   to   stay   by   her   side  .   he   was   the   most   important   person   to   her  ,   the   one   she   has   grown   to   rely   on   most  .   if   she   hadn’t   been   so   oblivious   before  .  .  .   she   would   have   realized  ,   long   ago  ,   that   he   is   the   person   she   loves  .   “   stay  ,   please   stay           ”   miu   begs  ,   standing   right   outside   of   his   room  .   heart   beating   so   slowly   in   her   chest  .   the   packing   continues   and   her   eyes   squeeze   shut  .  no  .   she   could   not  .  .  .   she   would   not   let   this   end   like   this  .   without   a   single   word   more  ,   she   steps   into   the   room   and   approaches   him  .   arms   wrapping   around   him   from   behind  ,   forehead   resting   against   his   back  .   “   seojun  ,   ”   she   whispers  ,   tears   wetting   the   fabric   of   his   shirt  .   “   don’t   go  .   please  ,   please  ,   please            don’t   go  .   i   don’t   want   you   to   leave  ,   ”   now   hugging   him   tighter   than   before  .   “   i   cannot   lose   you  .  .  .   please   stay  .   ”

"  i  hate  that  i  give  you  power  over  that  kind  of  stuff  .  it's  like  you  have  a  permanent  hold  on  me  .  "
