BIG WALLS, BIG DREAMS

Born in Lyon, France, Brusk says he always had a pencil in his hand, but his art took a major turn when he discovered Hip Hop culture as a teen and "the city became his playground." A fine art degree from St. Etienne armed Brusk with a mastery of a wide range of tools and medium, and the ability to move at ease between graffiti and very intimate paintings as well as sculpture, video, and graphic design. When Houston-based UP Art Studio curated "Big Walls, Big Dreams"—a collection of 15 walls painted by artists from around the world for Art Week Miami 2015—Brusk was invited to join the group and painted this melting rainbow-colored figure on NW 1st Place near 23rd St. in the Wynwood Arts District. @bruskdmv @upartstudio @wynwoodartsdistrict
