3, 5, and 14! <3
3. What is your happiest memory?
Prefacing events are multifariously exhausting, but hands-down my answer is my first mountain climb. Leaving Betty Crocker was quite the ordeal- I was tiny, and well, Halley was tiny too. Crossing miles for days alone was more frightening than I care to let on. One day, we came across a mountain region. Rather than pass it over, I began climbing up. Along ledges and caverns, Halley was following so closely that, when I started falling down from exhaustion, she went on nudging me right back up. At peak- a profound sense of control and happiness began washing over me, like for the first time, I was right where nature was needing me to be! Wouldn’t you know we found the cutest little town back down too!!
5. What is your favourite place?
It’s somewhat embarrassing- but my favorite place is beside Halley.
14. Have you ever cried from happiness?
Unabashedly on multiple occasions- gosh, I get so emotional. On one of my travels, a young girl talked to me about how much she wanted to explore. I would send her photos, and in exchange, she would write me little letters! (Some more hard to parse than others). Just this last June, she finally left her home town to pursue a life of anthropology! Her letter was so sweet I just broke to tears.
