I wanted to think about etymology as a way of getting at this idea of untranslateability... Essentially, Homesick is my own etymology, the etymology of someone obsessed with language and working entirely with languages... When I'm translating, I definitely think about a word's history when I know it, and I always have a tab with the Oxford English Dictionary open when I'm working. If there is a way to play with that ... I would definitely do that.
